Mel Gibson's father has links to the Holocaust Museum shooter.

As the FBI probes the gunman's hate-filled life, a shocking discovery was made-the 88 year old shooter, James von Brunn, and Mel's 90 year old father, Hutton Gibson, share ties to one of America's most notorious anti-Semites.

Hutton was a featured speaker in June 2003 at the annual conference of "The Barnes Review," a leading Holocaust denial publication run by Willis Carto. James von Brunn used to work for Willis Carto, at Noontide Press, an extremist publishing branch of The Institute for Historical Review.

Mel Gibson made several anti-Semitic "remarks" in 2006 but later claimed he didn't mean to say them.
