Obama To Schwarzenegger: Drop Dead

In an homage to the 1975 headline appearing in the New York Daily News which said “Ford to City: Drop Dead” referring to President Ford’s response to New York’s plea for financial assistance to avoid bankruptcy, Outsider has adopted the same theme following the federal government's response to Schwarzenegger's plea for help.

Although the Obama Administration was far more diplomatic in its response, the effect is the same. Schwarzenegger, you will have to dig yourself out of this mess.

Since Schwarzenegger’s indifference, incompetence and ineffectiveness are directly responsible for California's largest ever ongoing budget deficit, presently over $24 Billion and increasing daily, it is appropriate that the federal government give Schwarzenegger every opportunity to prove himself as the astute businessman and governor that he claims to be.

Readers may not know that .89 cents of every $1.00 collected in federal taxes in California is returned to California in subsidies, so Schwarzenegger's plea for more money falls on deaf ears.

With the lowest bond rating of any state in the US, California has the distinction of raising utter indifference from investors.
