Pink Panther Jewel Thieves Arrested In Monaco

One of the most infamous gang of thieves, the Pink Panthers have successfully robbed over 120 jewellery stores all over the world during the past six years.



Thought to have as many as 200 members, the Pink Panthers originated in Yugoslavia and reached the height of their notoriety when they robbed the Harry Winston jewellery store in Paris in December, 2008 of more than $100 million worth of jewellery.



Interpol has been co-ordinating the work of several police forces to try to catch the gang and this week were able to arrest three of the gang members in Monaco as they apparently planned a robbery of nearby jewellery shops.
